With scattered showers in the regular supply district Dalby Agents yarded 4,589 head, which included 660 head from far Western Queensland. All the buyers attended but not all operating in a stronger market.
Yearling steers 200 to 280kg selling from 308c to 546c/kg to restockers. Yearling steers 280 to 330kg topped 492c to Lot Feeders and 522c/kg to restockers. Yearling steers 330 to 400kg made to 508c to average 471c/kg. Yearling steers 400 to 480kg sold to 486c/kg to Lot Feeders. Yearling steers over 480kg to 484c/kg to processors.
Yearling heifers under 200kg to 436c/kg to restockers. Yearling heifers 200 to 280kg sold to 480c/kg to restockers. Yearling heifers 280 to 330kg topped 480c/kg to restockers. Yearling heifers 330 to 400kg made to 480c/kg to restockers. Yearling heifers over 480kg sold to 430c/kg to processors.
Grown steers 400 to 500kg sold to 488c/kg to lot feeders. Grown steers 500 to 600kg topped 484c to average 444c/kg. Grown steers over 600kg to 465c/kg to processors. Grown heifers over 540kg to 454c/kg.
A quality yarding of cows penned and sold to a dearer market. The 2 score cows 400 to 520kg sold from 280c to 361c/kg. The 3 score cows over 520kg sold to 420c/kg. Bulls 450 to 600kg to 400c and bulls over 600kg to 448c/kg.

A solid yarding in Dalby today with all regular buyers in attendance as well as one additional southern processor. Heavy prime cattle were similar to last week, whilst fewer feeder steers sold to strong competition. A good run of feeder heifers sold to solid demand. Weaners steers and heifers held firm with secondary types selling to dearer trends.
