Similar to other markets the export buyer attendance was not as good as the previous week, with one major exporter absent from the buying panel.
The usual feeder buyers and local and interstate restockers were active in the market, however one local trade buyer was also absent.
Light weight yearling steers and heifers returning to the paddock or background continued to be in demand.
Heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 12c/kg better. Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed also sold to a dearer trend to improve by 8c/kg.
Most classes of cows sold to a cheaper trend with losses of 20c to 28c/kg. A handful of light weight yearling steers under 200kg made to a top of 694.2c/kg.
A good sample of light weight yearling steers under 280kg averaged 556c and made to 652c/kg. Yearling steers in the 330-400kg range to feed averaged 465c and made to 486c, with some returning to the paddock making to 533.2c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed averaged 435c with the occasional pen reaching 464.2c/kg.
Light weight yearling heifers made to 586c with a large number averaging 522c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market averaged from 442c to 462c and sold to 488.2c, with a small sample for future breeders making to 488.2c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers to feed made to 436.2c to average 417c/kg.
A few medium weight grown steers to feed made to 422.2c to average 410c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows averaged 257c and made to 264c/kg. Good heavy weight cows averaged 278c with the occasional sale to 285c to return $2351/head. Heavy weight bulls made to 290c/kg.

There was a smaller yarding due to the short week. Feeder and store cattle sold to a dearer trend. Very little meat works cattle were yarded with them selling to a cheaper trend.
