Numbers increased by over 1000 head, with agents penning 5291 head at Dalby. Buyer attendance was good and included some extra interstate operators. Overall, quality was generally good and cows were in the largest numbers.

Prices improved for most classes, with gains of over 30c/kg in places. Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock averaged 5c dearer, however medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 32c/kg better. Heavy weight yearlings to feed improved by 14c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers averaged 4c to 7c better, while medium weights to feed lifted in price by 16c to 21c/kg. Heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 18c to 20c/kg dearer, however some of the improvements were due to the better quality penned. The number of cows penned increased and similar to the previous week, processors absorbed the larger supply and lifted prices further by 13c to 17c and up to 26c/kg in places.
