Overall quality was reported to be generally good across a number of classes.
All the regular export buyers was present and operating in a dearer market.
The usual line up of feeder operators were in attendance, and the larger panel of restocker buyers included some additional support from interstate.
Young light weight cattle sold to a much dearer market to average 18c to 30c/kg better.
Cows were noticeably dearer with the top end quality lines close to 20c/kg dearer.
A fairly large sample of mixed sex calves returned to the paddock at an average of 419c, with steer calves reaching 464.2c/kg.
Light weight yearling steers sold restockers to a top of 462c with a large number averaging 426c/kg.
Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged from 361c to 392c, with occasional sales to 428c/kg.
Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 378c to average 349c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers or background made to 412c to average 360c/kg.
Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market averaged in the mid 330c/kg range and made to 370c/kg.
Heavy weight yearling heifers to the local trade market made to 347c to average 334c/kg.
A handful of bullocks to export processors made to 372c to average 320c/kg.
Light weight cows averaged 231c, and medium weights averaged 260c and made to 292c/kg.
A large sample of heavy cows averaged 284c, with occasional sales to 298.2c/kg.
Heavy bulls made to 330c/kg.

Very strong sale today. Good quality line of cows making top price of 298.2c. Feeder cattle on the rise with the weaner market very strong. Southern and local buyers all trying to restock. All export buyers in attendance.
