Dalby sale 28 Sep 2016: Larger yarding meets strong market

Guest Author, 29/09/2016

A break from the rain the last few days, following 90 to 110mm in the local, allowed producers to yard 2500 cattle, compared to 1400 the previous week.

The market was very strong right through.

Light weaner steers under 200kg made to 470c and heifers 422.2c.

Looking to the future towards the middle of October with the weather permitting, we should start to see some numbers as cattle are coming off crop and pasture.

It is a great season for livestock producers in most parts of Australia.
