Yarding 7238 Change +1774

The national trend of large numbers into the saleyards continued at Dalby with agents penning 7238 head an increase of 1774. A large supply of close to 1400 very mix quality cows were offered and 320 bulls. A fair panel of buyers were present however the southern operators of recent weeks were absent.

Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock continued to receive strong support. However heavy weight yearling to feed experienced some quality related price changes. Grant Daniel Long Report

A large yarding was on offer at Dalby today, with a solid pool of buyers in attendance. Although, the southern operators seen in recent weeks were absent. Backgrounder steers continued to attract strong support, while backgrounder heifers slipped by 5–10c/kg. Feeder steers remained firm, however feeder heifers eased slightly, particularly in the secondary lines. Grown steers, heifers and cows trended cheaper in response to the larger yarding, with heavy cows losing around 10c/kg, while store cows held firm.
