A full panel of export processors was present and operating, plus the usual feed and trade buyers, along with local and interstate restockers.

Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock averaged 2c/kg better. Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed were well supplied and sold to a very solid market.

Light weight yearling heifers to processors or restockers improved in price by 10c to 14c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed experienced only quality related price changes.

Heavy grown steers and bullocks to export processors remained unchanged in price.

However cows sold to a mixed trend, with plain condition cows returning to the paddock improving in price, while cows to export processors averaged 7c to 15c/kg less.

Grant Daniel Long report

Very similar numbers to last week with all buyers present and operating. All categories improved or held prices on previous weeks. With the southern buyers operating we saw a dearer trend on good quality store cattle.
