A full panel of export processors returned to the buying panel and all were operating, along with the regular feeder buyers, and some additional restockers.
Light weight yearling steers to restockers were well supplied and averaged 9c/kg better.
Medium yearling steers to feed improved by 12c, and heavy weight yearling steers to feed gained 9c/kg.
Light weight yearling heifers to restockers or background lifted in price by 21c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed experienced very little change in price. A lift in the quality of the heavy weight yearling heifers to feed improved average prices by 28c/kg.
A relatively small selection of heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 7c to 8c/kg better. Plain condition cows averaged 11c dearer, while the better condition cows lifted in price by 2c to 5c/kg.
Steer calves returning to the paddock made to 260.2c to average 247c, and heifer calves mainly sold close to 165c/kg.
A large number of light weight yearling steers sold to restockers at 249c, with the occasional pen to 288.2c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 275c, with one large consignment reaching 289.2c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to a top of 302.2c to average 288c/kg.
A large selection of light weight yearling heifers mainly sold for close to 207c, with sales to 239.2c/kg. The better end of the medium weight yearling heifers to feed averaged 237c and made to 246.2c/kg. The best of the heavy weight yearling heifers to feed made to a top of 274.2c to average 260c/kg.
A few heavy grown steers to export process made to 293.2c to average 285c, and a small number of bullocks made to 294.2c, while full mouth bullocks averaged 279c/kg.
Medium weight poor condition cows averaged 140c, and the better 2 scores averaged 164c, making to 176.2c/kg. Good heavy cows mainly sold close to 204c, with a few pens to 220.2c/kg. Heavy bulls made to 280c/kg

At total of 5754 hd of cattle were yarded in Dalby today with GDL yarding 2311.
The market was generally a touch stronger today compared to previous weeks due to the decrease in numbers. The quality of cattle was stronger across the board.
GDL yarded cattle from NSW, Meandarra, Taroom, Wandoan & Kingaroy.
