Grant Daniel Long report

Strong week here in Dalby, dryer conditions saw an increase in cattle yarded to 4361 head. The normal panel of buyers were present and active as well as the support from the south we’ve seen over the last month. Prices were firm on last week to a touch dearer, some categories seemed to have come back slightly however, there was a greater variety of quality this week yarded and that reflected in the averages. Light yearling steers saw a significant increase in price with sales to 784c/kg with many under 200kg selling around 737c/kg and steers under 280kg making 640c/kg on average. Bulls also saw a fair increase with good heavy bulls averaging 340c/kg. Next week GDL sell: 8th
