THE Australian Lot Feeders Association on Friday launched a new website aiming to help develop careers in the grainfed beef industry.

Feedlot TECH, which was funded by ALFA and Meat & Livestock Australia, contains a series of online training courses and promotional videos.

Speaking at the organisation’s SmartBeef Bites webinar today, career development and training project officer Caela Dye said the aim was to provide industry-wide training.

“This stemmed from the identified need to provide the industry with clear career development pathways,” Ms Dye said.

“Feedlot TECH aims to aid the lotfeeding sector to foster a dynamic, engaged and skilled workforce to support continued growth within the industry.”

Ms Dye said the website had information for all levels of feedlot staff.

“It really aims to have information for all individuals, whether you’re seeking a new career or if you are looking to progress your career,” she said.

“It can also help companies with creating a career staff for their staff.”
