People and businesses directly affected by the suspension of live exports to Indonesia last year are being reminded that there arethree weeks left to apply for assistance under the Federal Government’s subsidised interest rate scheme.
The scheme is designed to help cattle producers and businesses directly involved in the trade, including transporters, vets, hay producers, heli-musterers and agents, through subsidised interest on new and extended borrowings for up to two years.
Those eligible can access a subsidy over two years on new lending up to $300,000.
The maximum total subsidy is $36,000.
Applications close on February 10.
