Beef Central genetics editor Al Rayner will host a webinar session early next week on the topic of Getting to grips with Breedplan.

Starting at 1pm next Monday, 5 July, the free webinar for commercial and stud breeders will address some of the more common questions around the use of Breedplan and EBVs.

Ahead of the bull selling season, this is a chance to update understanding on topics that include the importance of linkages, accuracies and indexes.

There will also be a focus on recording and understanding of what is required for new seedstock breeders and bull buyers. Being hosted via Zoom, the session will include opportunity for questions and answers.

Alister Rayner is the Principal of RaynerAg, an agricultural advisory service based in NSW. RaynerAg is affiliated with BJA Stock & Station Agents. He regularly lists and sell cattle for clients as well attending bull sales to support client purchases.  Alastair provides pre-sale selections and classifications for seedstock producers in NSW, Qld and Victoria.

The webinar session is limited to 100 participants, so early registration is encouraged.
