Highlights at Beef Australia 2012 on Thursday, May 10, include:
• The completion of the stud cattle competition – in centre ring will be Charolais, Simmental, Red Angus, Shorthorn, Bazadais, Senepol, Pinzgauers, Red Poll, Blonde D’Aquitaine, Sahiwal, Devon, Simbrah, Speckle Park, South Devon;
• The 2000 head entered in the stud competition will be reduced to two overall winners with the Supreme Champion Bull and Female to be awarded at the Interbreed Judging at 3pm, to be followed by the Parade of Champions at 5pm
• A diverse line up of seminars with topics including social media, the carbon tax, animal welfare and environmental management issues – full details at the Beef Australia website here
• Thursday night’s entertainment is the great debate – an event free to the public and featuring Rupert McCall and local personalities young and old on the topic of Youth vs Experience. This will take place at 7pm in centre ring.
