DARLING Downs beef industry stakeholders wishing to make a short, convenient visit to Beef 2018 in Rockhampton next month now have the option to join a one-day return jet charter flight out of Toowoomba’s Wellcamp airport.
Food Leaders Australia is organising the special charter flight to attend one of the world’s premier beef cattle events on Wednesday, May 9.
The world class beef expo, held once every three years, is now within an hour’s reach from Toowoomba’s Wellcamp Airport, with the charter flight departing at 7am and returning at 8.10pm – giving participants more than 10 hours on the ground.
The private flight will allow stakeholders to take in the sights and sounds of Beef Australia, which facilitates new trade and export opportunities by exposing the local supply chain to International industry leaders, as well as featuring more than 4500 cattle from more than 30 breeds.
FLA general manager Bruce McConnel said Beef Australia was the largest beef industry networking event in Australia.
“This flight gives local businesses the perfect opportunity to be involved, grow their networks and learn about current and future trends within the industry,” Mr McConnel said.
“Further, the networking on the flight itself, with like-minded local businesses, will be valuable to all involved.”
- Tickets for the charter flight are strictly limited and are available to members of the public for $1300 pp, FLA members $1200 pp.
