Solid bidding and good cattle saw the Roma market hold firm right across the board this week.

A smaller yarding with just over 2,600 head yarded after the Easter long weekend, all regular processors, backgrounders, and feedlotters were in attendance and actively bidding on a strong yarding.

Several quality lines of feeder cattle went under the hammer across the morning.

Steers under 200kg reached a top of 422c/kg, and those weighing between 200kg and 280kg sold from 300c to a high of 468c/kg.

Cattle were yarded primarily from the local Maranoa supply district, including Roma, Yuleba, Muckadilla, and Injune.

The yarding also included several consignments from both northern regions, with cattle sourced from as far as Conclurry in North Queensland.
