Roma Saleyards market report – Tuesday, 25 March
Yarding: 4095 Change: -2617

Just over 4,000 head were yarded at today’s sale, with all regular processors, backgrounders, and feedlotters present and actively bidding amongst the ongoing rain.
Several large lines of quality steers and heifers were on offer under the hammer.
Holding steady with the rain, there were improved rates across numerous categories including yearling steers in the 400 to 480kg weight range and upwards of almost 30c/kg for grown steers over 600kg.
Cattle were yarded primarily from the local Maranoa supply district and western regions, including Injune, Taroom, Morven, Barcaldine, and Roma.
The yarding also included several consignments from both northern and southern regions, with cattle sourced from as far as Coober Pedy and Marree in South Australia.
The quality and selection of cattle on offer once again showcased Roma Saleyards as the marketplace of choice.
Litchfield Pastoral Co, from Wilpoorinna Station, Marree, South Australia offloaded a total of 339 steers and heifers at today’s sale.
