Cattle were drawn from the usual supply areas plus 353 head from New South Wales.

A good panel of restocker and feeder buyers were present and active and not all the major export processor operators were in attendance.

Light and medium weight young cattle generally could not maintain the levels of the previous sale.

There was a large number of heavyweight yearling steers and heifers to feed penned and buyers were able to absorb large numbers plus maintain firm prices. All classes of export processor lines of heavy steers and cows lost 10c to 15c/kg.
