Detectives from the Kingaroy Stock and Rural Crime Squad (SARCIS) have charged a man in relation to the unlawful killing of two stock breeding cows on March 23.
Police were called after the owners found the remains of their cattle on Reserve Road, Widgee around 6am the next morning.
A 28-year-old man from The Palms has been charged with one count each of trespass, stealing, possess tainted property and killing an animal with intent to steal.
He is due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on April 22.
In a media statement issued this morning, SARCIS said it would like to remind graziers they can assist police in helping to prevent livestock loss by installing surveillance cameras.
"Members of the public are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to police," the statement said
