Mixed quality young cattle were in the largest numbers, and cows dominated the grown cattle section, along with a relatively small selection of heavy grown steers and bullocks.

Buyer attendance was good and all were operating. Young light weight yearling steers and heifers experienced very little change in price.

The younger end of the heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 19c/kg dearer. All classes of cows received stronger competition to improve up to 17c/kg in places. Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock predominately sold around 260c with a few pens making up to 288.2c and poor quality lines averaging 185c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed made to 311.2c, to average 298c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 320c with a good sample averaging 307c and processor classes also made to 320.2c, to average 306c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers to processors made to 248.2c to average 216c, while the largest numbers sold to restockers or backgrounders at an average of 199c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made to 282.2c with most making to 266c/kg. Heavy weight yearling heifers to processors made to 301.2c to average 279c/kg.

Heavy grown steers to export processor made to 328.2c to average 315c, and the bullock portion made to 331.2c, to average 327c/kg. Plain condition cows sold to restockers at an average of 179c with some selling to 198.2c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows to processors averaged 206c and the best of the medium weights made to 267.2c/kg.

Good heavy cows were in the largest numbers and made to 269.2c to average 257c/kg. Heavy bulls made to 305.2c/kg.
