Join us tomorrow (Wednesday) for a Beef Connect webinar where we will dive into how the ZNE-Ag CRC is measuring methane on northern Australia beef cattle operations.
Guest presenters are Northern NT property manager Michael Johnson and ZNE-Ag CRC research director Ben Hayes, who will talk about:
- What production benefits measuring and reducing methane can deliver
- Strategies to reduce methane (hint: they are highly linked to a more efficient breeder herd!)
- Is methane emission production an inherited trait? Ben will discuss how this is being measured across the north through extensive genetic reference populations.
Michael Johnson (Tipperary Group General Manager) will discuss how a commercial station became involved in the ZNE-Ag CRC and what business outcomes he is aiming for, as well as the practical implementation of methane reduction strategies on an NT property.
Date: Wednesday 17 June
Time: 11:30am ACST (10:00 am AWST, 12:00pm AEST)
