My thought for what they are worth. Due to the low numbers in the major Northern Hemisphere cattle regions which will take some time to correct. Also allegedly the wealthy Americans are prepared to pay top dollar for our premium cuts now due to our clean green image ( most Australian beef exported to the USA previously was c.f.a. cow and bull meat being used in their grinding beef industry for burgers). I have been involved in the cattle game for 82 years from birth( on my Dads New England property) to now & tipping our cattle prices will remain high for the next 18mnths. As an aside I managed and developed a cattle station in the Solomon’s Guadalcanal Island , tropical high rain fall and as good a cattle country as the Qld channel country when wet. Spent time out there working for the Tully’s. John W Barry 0412280695 john@mataranka.co.au
