Yarding 7105 Change +1421
NLRS Commentary:
Roma Agents yarded 7105 head an increase of 1421 cattle on the previous sale. All regular buyers were in attendance along with additional southern support. The market improved across most categories which continued through to the cows section.
Yearling steers under 200kg topping 600c/kg to backgrounders. Yearling steers 200 to 280kg also improved to make 608c/kg to backgrounders. Yearling steers 280 to 330kg selling from 330c to 596c/kg to backgrounders. Yearling steers 330 to 400kg making to 582c to average 549c/kg to backgrounders. Yearling steers 400 to 480kg sold to 558c/kg to Lot Feeders. Yearling steers over 480kg made from 438c to 526c/kg to Lot Feeders.
Yearling heifers under 200kg topping 496c/kg to backgrounders. Yearling heifers 200 to 280kg also improved to make 530c/kg to restockers. Yearling heifers 280 to 330kg selling from 300c to 530c/kg to restockers. Yearling heifers 330 to 400kg making to 514c to average 420c/kg to Lot Feeders. Yearling heifers 400 to 480kg sold to 508c/kg to Lot Feeders. Yearling heifers over 480kg made from 440c to 508c/kg to Lot Feeders.
Grown steers 400 to 500kg sold to 430c to processors and 500c/kg to Lot feeders. Grown steers 500 to 600kg sold from 430c to 534c/kg to Lot feeders. Bullocks over 600kg made to 474c/kg to processors. Grown heifers over 540kg sold 450c/kg to processors.
Still large numbers of cows been penned at Roma. The 3 score cows over 520kg sold to 398c/kg to processors. The 2 score cows 400 to 520kg sold to 365c to average 331c/kg to processors with the plainer cows back to the paddock made from 200c to 374c/kg. Bulls over 600kg selling from 387c to 468c/kg to processors.
