Yarding 1200 Change -100

1200 cattle were scanned in Gunnedah, 100 less then last week. It was a mixed quality yarding of predominately yearling and weaner cattle with few pens of prime cattle on offer. All major buyers were present in an overall cheaper market.

Prime yearling cattle to the trade ranged from 412c to 482c/kg. Yearling steers to feed were 25c cheaper to make between 527c and 600c/kg to average 567c/kg while the heifers were 15c cheaper and made from 520c to 563c/kg. Light cattle to the restocker were 30c cheaper across the board. The steers made from 530c to 596c/kg while the heifers made from 462c to 532c/kg.

Prime grown cattle to the processor made from 380c to 430c/kg. 2 score cows to the processor made from 250c to 374c/kg. 3 score cows were marginally dearer to make from 371c to 395c/kg. 4 score Prime heavy weight cows were 5 to 8c dearer and made from 390c to 427c/kg and the best heavy bulls got to 382c/kg.
