Yarding 1090 Change -810
1090 cattle were scanned in Gunnedah this week 800 less then last week. It was a better quality yarding of predominately yearling and weaner cattle. Prime cattle and cows were still limited. Most major buyers were active for steady competition where heifers were less sought after and most gains were quality related.
Yearling steers to feed were 20c dearer and more in places to range between 534c and 632c to average 596c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed lost 6c to make between 472c and 558c/kg. Light steers to the restocker were 3 to 5c dearer they ranged from 530c to 638c to average 569ckg. Light heifers to the restocker were 15c cheaper they ranged from 365c to 530c/kg to average 487c/kg.
Prime grown cattle to the processor made from 370c to 454c/kg. 2 and 3 score cows to the processor were 10c better and more in places. They made from 355c to 391c/kg. Prime heavy weight cows lost 7c to make from 388c to 419c/kg. Cows going back to the paddock made from 380c to 391c/kg and the best bull made 396c/kg.
