AN Australian beef brand has become the first produce brand to be showcased at a major gala event in the United States, aimed at celebrating Australian art in the US.

The annual G’Day USA Arts Gala in Los Angeles, a major initiative from the American Australian Association, was set up to celebrate Australian excellence across film, television, music and the arts. This year was the first time an Australian produce brand was spotlighted at the event, and Westholme – produced by Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) – supplied the high-end beef.

AACo Managing Director and CEO, David Harris said the moment positions Australian beef not only as a premium food product, but as part of Australia’s broader cultural and creative export story.

“Being selected to serve Westholme beef at an event that celebrates Australia and Australian talent on the global stage is a powerful statement,” Mr Harris said.

“Australian beef is among the best in the world, and we are incredibly proud to share our most premium product with an international audience in one of our most important global markets.”

Westholme Nature-Led Australian Wagyu was served as striploin bites on arrival, to experience the full flavour of its unique terroir in Northen Australia, prepared live for guests by US-based Australian chef, Sophie Dalah. The main course featured a Westholme braised short rib preparation at the seated dinner.

“Westholme represents Australian agriculture at its finest – exceptional quality, deep respect and care for the land, and a modern Australian story that resonates globally. The brand was a perfect fit for the levels of excellence we aim to celebrate at the G’Day USA Arts Gala,” said the Hon Steven Marshall AO, President of the American Australian Association.

The G’Day USA Arts Gala is the flagship cultural event of the American Australian Association and is widely regarded as a cornerstone moment for strengthening cultural and commercial ties between Australia and the United States.

Australian stars, Milly Alcock, Yvonne Strahovski and Ian Thorpe are among those who will be recognised, and Australian recording artists Boy Soda, Oliver Cronin, Gordi and Vanessa Amorosi will perform at the event.

Funds raised from the Gala support the American Australian Association Arts Scholarships, supporting the next generation of exceptional artists.
