Police investigate theft of 142 Wagyu cross cattle near Yeppoon

Queensland Police are appealing for information after Wagyu cross cattle were stolen from a property northeast of Rockhampton, near Yeppoon, between April and May.

Detectives from the Rockhampton Rural and Stock Crime Squad are investigating the theft of 142 head of cattle from a property at Todds Road, Greenlake between the 3 April and 28 May 2026.

The cattle were made up of 97 Wagyu Cross cows and 45 Wagyu Cross weaner heifers, branded with a GL under half-circle symbol, a yellow management tag “Greenlake” and NLIS devices.

Investigators encourage anyone who observed any unusual stock carting movement in the Rossmoya Road or Todds Road area to contact police.
