THE Outback Queensland Cattle Drive is a major annual charity event that combines historical re-enactment, regional tourism, and fundraising to combat food insecurity.   Within three years, we aim to be producing one million meals per year to support homeless and disadvantaged families.

The 2026 event is scheduled to run for 46 days from May 24 to July 10, covering roughly 445 km from Longreach to Blackall.

The cattle drive itself is our primary fundraising event, providing the working capital needed to coordinate the supply chain between the cattle industry, processors, and distribution charities.

The inaugural drive in 2025 raised approximately $250,000, enabling us to support around 300,000 meals.  This year we have set a target of $500,000.

As we gear up for the start the 2026 Outback Queensland Cattle Drive, we are now seeking to engage with new beef industry partners and supporters.

If you see your business as a sponsor of the Outback Queensland Cattle Drive, please contact our operations manager, Chrissie Nott, via email: cn@ecn.net.au or call her on 0433182 398.

If you would rather donate, you can do so via this link.

Please support this worthy cause; providing beef meals to people in need.

I would also encourage you to visit our website https://outbackcattledrive.au to find out more information.  Also, look at our highlight reel from last year’s event.
