Cattle were drawn from NSW and the large normal supply districts.

Apart from a few pens quality was not up to last weeks standard. All the regular processors feedlotters and backgrounders present, however not all operating.

Prices eased for all descriptions by as much as 20c to 40c/kg. Light weight yearling steers under 200kg topped at 418c/kg. A large number of yearling steers 200 to 280kg made to 432c and averaged 385c/kg. Yearling steers 330 to 400kg topped at 348c/kg. Yearling steers over 400kg sold to 318c to restockers with a large sample to feed selling to 346c to average 320c/kg.

Light weight heifers under 200kg held their value selling to 312c/kg. Yearling heifers 200 to 280kg selling from 206c to 284c/kg. Yearling heifers 280 to 330kg sold to 294c to average 262c/kg. Large numbers in the 330 to 400kg range to feed made to 284c/kg. Yearling heifers 400 to 480kg also to feed topped 270c/kg. Grown steers 500 to 600kg to processors topped 182c and 220c/kg to feed.

Grown steers 600kg plus to processors made to 276c and averaged 263c/kg. Grown heifers over 540kg made to 222c/kg. Large consignments of 2 score cows 400 to 520kg sold to 178c/kg. The 3 score cows sold to 210c to average 192c/kg. There was also large numbers of bulls penned with the 600kg plus selling to 246c/kg.

Weaner steers under 200kg topped at 418c/kg and averaged 337c/kg, weaner steers in the 200-280kg range reached 432c/kg and averaged 374c/kg. Steers in the 280-330kg range reached 416c/kg and averaged 347c/kg, and steers in the 330-400kg range reached 410c/kg and averaged 329c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-500kg range topped at 346c/kg and averaged 317c/kg.

JE & JL Creevey, Lucknow Station, Augathella sold Charolais steers to 416c/kg, reaching a top of $1,311 to average $1,013.  The Charolais cross heifers sold to 294c/kg, reaching a top of $816 to average $658.

GJ & MJ Owens, Arranmore, Longreach sold Santa Gertrudis steers to 398c/kg, reaching a top of $1,274 to average $1,238.

SD & MJ Russell, Willara, Augathella sold Charolais cross steers to 396c/kg, reaching a top of $1,381 to average $1,203.

Malcolm Burey, Backcreek, Amby sold Charbray cross steers to 394c/kg, reaching a top of $1,073 to average $1,073.

AR & TM Marsh, Hillsborough Station, St George sold Angus cross steers to 388c/kg, reaching a top of $1,177 to average $1,137.

Cowarie Pastoral Company, Forest Grove, Wallumbilla sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 386c/kg, reaching a top of $1,258 to average $1,041.  The Santa Gertrudis heifers sold to 280c/kg, reaching a top of $753 to average $728.

JL Marks & Son, Billoola, Charleville sold Simmental cross steers to 382c/kg, reaching a top of $1,221 to average $1,143.

DR Gordon, Peronne, Injune sold Angus cross steers to 378c/kg, reaching a top of $1,388 to average $1,299.

RW & KE Thorne, Holmleigh, Mitchell sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 376c/kg, reaching a top of $1,169 to average $1,136.  The Santa Gertrudis cross heifers sold to 255c/kg, reaching a top of $1,127 to average $852.  The Santa Gertrudis cows sold to 200c/kg, reaching a top of $1,251 to average $1,251.

PF & WJ Hooper, West End, Isisford sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 358c/kg, reaching a top of $1,136 to average $1,059.  The Droughtmaster cross heifers sold to 270c/kg, reaching a top of $814 to average $814.

Richland Hill Grazing Pty Ltd, Richland Hill, Mitchell sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 356c/kg, reaching a top of $1,104 to average $1,104.  The Santa Gertrudis cross heifers sold to 270c/kg, reaching a top of $812 to average $812.

T & H Grazing, Bungaroo, Wallumbilla sold Charolais steers to 356c/kg, reaching a top of $1,100 to average $1,100.

Bushy Park Pastoral Pty Ltd, Bushy Park, Cloncurry sold Droughtmaster steers to 352c/kg, reaching a top of $1,353 to average $1,108.

RE & ED Smith, Marranoonbah, Condobolin sold Charolais steers to 350c/kg, reaching a top of $1,461 to average $1,125.  The Charolais heifers sold to 276c/kg, reaching a top of $1,049 to average $900.

PJ & MM Vetter, Cooladdi sold Droughtmaster steers to 344c/kg, reaching a top of $1,266 to average $1,196.

IJ & CE Wilson, Wyreema, Injune sold Brangus cross steers to 340c/kg, reaching a top of $1,291 to average $1,220.

Brad Marks, Bullecourt, Charleville sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 336c/kg, reaching a top of $1,463 to average $1,273.

Path Assets Pty Ltd, Ross Creek, Roma sold Charolais cross steers to 335c/kg, reaching a top of $1,528 to average $1,470.

Parkinson Bros, Palardo, Dulacca sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 324c/kg, reaching a top of $1,472 to average $1,416.

Heifers under 200kg topped at 312c/kg and averaged 298c/kg, while heifers in the 200-280kg range topped at 294c/kg and averaged 241c/kg. Heifers in the 280-330kg range topped at 284c/kg, averaging 248c/kg. Heifers in the 330-400kg range topped at 290c/kg, averaging 249c/kg. Heifers in the 400-500kg range topped at 286c/kg, averaging 237c/kg.

KC Donohoe & Sons, Bauhinia Vale, Wandoan sold Angus cross heifers to 284c/kg, reaching a top of $1,019 to average $923.
