Yarding 3552 Change +968

Numbers lifted this sale with agents yarding 3522 head. Quality was very mixed compared to the previous sale. There was a larger percentage of secondary Crossbred cattle penned though there was still some good lines of well bred and finished cattle available. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that held steady for the quality lines but showed a cheaper trend on the secondary types.

Middleweight yearling steers to feed and restock sold from 448c to 658c/kg with heavyweights from 470 to 606c/kg. The heifer portion to feed received from 440 to 560c within processors paying from 440c to 530c/kg.

A good offering of grain fed finished bullocks ranged in price from 469 to 498c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 410 to 486c/kg.

Heavy finished cows sold from 380 to 440c/kg with the plainer cows from 375 to 396c/kg.
