Nutrien Ag Solutions Livestock Business Development Manager Colby Ede presents the 2026 Nutrien Ag Solutions Livestock Export Young Achiever of the Year award to Denis Febta
A YOUNG livestock export professional recognised for his passion, integrity and commitment to building strong relationships across the supply chain has been named the 2026 Nutrien Ag Solutions Livestock Export Young Achiever of the Year.
The prestigious award was presented to Frontier International’s Indonesia representative Denis Febta during an industry dinner in Sydney last night, recognising his outstanding work across the supply chain and commitment to industry development and prosperity.
Since entering the live export industry in 2018, Denis has been proactively involved in all facets of the industry from operations, supply chain regulation and compliance to market development, customer relations and industry representation.
He is a passionate advocate for the future of the live export industry, the trade relationship and synergies between Indonesia and Australia and is dedicated to continuously raising the bar on animal welfare, stock handling and husbandry and biosecurity practices in-market.
In presenting the award, Nutrien Ag Solutions Livestock Business Development Manager Colby Ede said Denis had impressed the judging panel with his genuine passion for livestock, strong personal values and commitment to the future of the industry.
“Denis has a real passion for working with cattle, but what also stood out was the importance he places on building trust, confidence and rapport with the people he works with,” Mr Ede said.
“He understands that strong relationships are built on integrity, teamwork and listening to the perspectives of customers and suppliers and he’s committed to putting those values into practice.
“Denis also has a genuine desire to give back to the industry through training and skills development and to help build the capability of the next generation.
“In addition to his formal role with Frontier, Denis is keenly involved in animal welfare training and supply chain development initiatives and in doing so, is contributing to the long-term professionalism and sustainability of the industry.
“These qualities make him a very deserving recipient of this award.”
Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council CEO Mark Harvey-Sutton congratulated Denis, saying strong relationships between people and businesses were fundamental to the longstanding livestock trade between Australia and Indonesia.
“Indonesia is one of Australia’s most important livestock export markets, but the strength of that trade is ultimately built on trusted relationships between people,” Mr Harvey-Sutton said.
“People like Denis play an incredibly important role in strengthening those relationships. His understanding of the Indonesian market, combined with the trust he has built with customers and stakeholders on the ground, helps bring our two industries closer together.
“Denis is a great example of the next generation of leaders who will help strengthen the Australia-Indonesia livestock relationship and ensure it continues to deliver long term benefits for both countries.”
As the 2026 winner, Denis will have the opportunity to attend the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation’s TRAIL Emerging Leaders program, with travel and accommodation costs covered.
The program provides an opportunity to build leadership capability, broaden perspectives and develop connections with other emerging leaders from rural and regional Australia.
