Yarding 6000 Change +290

With the seasonal conditions remaining dry the numbers keep rolling in with the yarding lifting by 300 for a total of 6000. It was a mixed yarding with good numbers of prime cattle in all sections along with very large numbers of plainer quality cattle in from the far west. Not all the usual buyers were operating with some feeder orders absent.

Young cattle to the trade were firm to 5c dearer with prime vealers and yearlings selling from 405c to 526c/kg. Lightweight feeder steers finished 10c dearer while the balance of the feeder steers and heifers were 12c to 18c/kg cheaper. The feeder steers sold from 430c to 569c/kg. Feeder heifers sold from 400c to 500c/kg. Young cattle to the restockers finished close to firm with the young steers selling to 612c while the young restocker heifers sold to 512c/kg.

Grown steers were 12c cheaper while the grown heifers finished 6c/kg dearer. Prime grown steers sold from 430c to 481c while the prime grown heifers sold from 410c to 470c/kg. Cows were up to 18c cheaper with the 2 and 3 scores to the processors selling from 310c to 374c/kg. Prime heavy weight cows sold from 356c to 392c to average 379c/kg. Cows to the restockers sold from 252c to 340c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 448c/kg.
