Yarding 2584 Change -133

Numbers were similar and the quality was again mixed. There were more weaners that varied a lot in condition and the yearlings suited the feeders and restockers more than the trade buyers. There was a very good run of heavy bullocks and most of the grown heifers were lighter in weights and lacked condition. There were nearly 400 cows penned and a lot were in store condition. The market sold to stronger trends.

Weaner steers lifted 20c and reached 676c for medium weight s and heifers sold to 530c for the medium weights and a pen of light heifers around 120kg reached 685c/kg. Feeder steers were up 20c to 25c selling from 500c to 584c/kg for the bulk. Feeder heifers were 6c to 10c stronger on the medium weights and 20c better on the heavy weights with more cover, most sold between 468c and 548c/kg. heavy trade cattle were limited and lifted in price by 15c to 25c with steers selling from 507c to 520c and heifers 510c to 528c/kg.

Grown steers and bullocks were 15c to 20c better with most 490c to 520c/kg and heavy prime heifers sold from 460c to 480c/kg. The heavy cows were firm to 6c dearer and ranged from 390c to 430c/kg, leaner 2 score cows were 10c stronger with plenty of interest from restockers and ranged from 357c to 404c/kg.
