Australian Export Award applications now open

Beef Central, 02/05/2023
Applications have opened today for the 61st Australian Export Awards.
Trade Minister Don Farrell said exporters are encouraged to enter and share their success stories.

The long-running awards program recognises the outstanding and invaluable contribution our exporters make to Australia’s economic prosperity.

Since the inaugural awards in 1963, the program has recognised more than 2000 Australian businesses.

“Our economy is stronger when global trade flows freely. We want more trade, not less,” Mr Farrell said.

“That’s why we are encouraging Australian exporters to expand their horizons and diversify their markets.”

Trade supports one in four Australian jobs and direct foreign investment supports one in ten jobs.

Last year’s Australian Export Awards finalists generated $1.9 billion in export earnings and employed more than 12,600 people.

This year’s awards will showcase Australian export businesses succeeding across 13 categories. The 2023 Australian Exporter of the Year will be selected from the national category winners.

Applications open today and close in June, with winners to be announced at the Australian Export Awards national ceremony at Parliament House later this year.

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) proudly presents the Australian Export Awards program in conjunction with State and Territory partners.
