Senior Station Hand, Riverina – NSW

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate person to join a family property running Stud Merino, Commercial Merino, and an Angus breeding operation. The large historic station runs across 38,000 acres of native grassland in the Riverina NSW.  Owned by the family for 47 years, who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team in undertaking all day-to-day operations, including; All aspects of livestock handling with both sheep and cattle – Mustering, animal health, drafting, recording of stud data, shearing, marking, and a yearly ram sale; Farming duties- Machinery operation, spraying paddocks, and weed spot spraying; General duties- Livestock water check and maintenance (solar bores), fencing, and mechanical maintenance.

To be considered for this role, you should have most of the following attributes; Experience with both sheep and cattle; An interest in stud herds; Attention to detail and good communication skills; The ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment; A good team of working dogs would be desirable; Having a car license is essential; Honest, reliable, and self-starter.
