Senior Research Agronomist – Qld

Our client is a leader in providing tailored, independent contract agricultural research, conducting field trials in the major broadacre and horticultural cropping regions of Australia. With offices and staff strategically positioned, and providing a full suite of services, they are focused on the successful development of new agricultural inputs and systems, ensuring their safe and effective use.

With the horticultural business growing nationally, and the office only recently opened, a new role has been created – Senior Research Agronomist. The primary function is to manage the technical field trials, as well as branch and administrative responsibilities. Reporting to the National Horticultural Lead, you will be responsible for conducting R&D efficacy and residue trials across a wide range of horticultural crops and environments. The successful person will have the following skills and attributes: several years of horticultural field trials experience; crop agronomy knowledge; data interpretation and scientific report writing experience; willingness to take the lead, train and supervise staff; good observer and listener with high attention to detail; relevant tertiary qualifications in Agriculture/Horticulture/Science.
