National Public Affairs Manager

AUSVEG is the national peak industry body for more than 2,500 vegetable and potato producers who account for vegetable production worth $4.9 billion in farmgate value annually, which accounts for one third of Australia’s $15 billion horticulture industry.

Their core functions include government advocacy and representation of the interests of vegetable and potato growers and delivering high quality services in areas such as biosecurity, communications and extension, and international trade development.  Selection criteria includes:  Min 5 years in senior roles responsible for advocacy, ideally in a political environment; Demonstrated experience in delivering policy outcomes; Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills;  Tertiary qualifications in Economics / Business / PR / Agriculture or related discipline highly regarded.
