A unique opportunity to oversee an established property for a long-held family operation. The property currently runs 740 Angus-based cows along with the 150 -200 annually retained heifers on 1,126 hectares. Supported by an experienced and industry-respected management team, the majority of duties will be undertaken by yourself, with the assistance of casual staff when required. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the property including animal health, fencing, water points and general maintenance of all farm infrastructure.
The candidate will have a passion for cattle and appropriate experience in the management of them along with the following skills and attributes: Ability to work safely and have a strong understanding of WHS; Awareness, knowledge and adherence of industry best practices and animal welfare standards; Strong communication skills; Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team; Time management, reliability, and adaptability; Machinery operation experience; Mechanical aptitude; Knowledge of pasture renovation; Fencing experience – both repairs and new installation.
