The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) is the Rural Research & Development Corporation (RDC) for the red meat processing industry in Australia. As the research, development and marketing service provider for Australian processors, AMPC runs programs of activity that are funded by processor levy funds, private contributions and the Australian Government.
Reporting to the CEO, the primary purpose of the role is to lead the Research, Development and Adoption (RD&A) function within AMPC and to manage a team of RD&A professionals. The position is responsible for ensuring the AMPC RD&A strategy is implemented through a combination of investment activities and industry engagement. The position is critical in ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to deliver strategic outcomes for the industry while being accountable for the delivery of the entire RD&A cycle, including engagement, due diligence, consultation, R&D management, extension, adoption and evaluation.
This is a key strategic position leading the RD&A function for AMPC as they strive for world class innovation as the red meat processing sector’s trusted partner.
