The Australian Southern Bluefin Tuna Industry Association (ASBTIA) represents the Australian SBT industry. ASBTIA pioneered global tuna farming in 1991 and works to maintain a high level of quality and performance. The industry has developed through a large investment in innovation, research and training, with a philosophy of continuous improvement and full traceability.
Due to impending retirement of the current Executive Officer, ASBTIA is now seeking their next EO to guide the organisation through the next phase of their evolution. They will have full responsibility for the day-to-day strategic and operational management of the organisation, working closely with the Executive Committee to develop and implement ASBTIA’s strategic priorities. The position is somewhat unique in that 98% of the Australian quota is owned by ASBTIA members with seven family companies operating from their Port Lincoln base and other major groups based on the East Coast of Australia.
