Cropping Assistant Manager – SA

Our client operates a family-owned dryland cropping and small-scale sheep farming business located 8 kilometres from Lock, South Australia. This operation focuses on producing high-quality wheat, barley, and lentil crops for grain.

The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in all aspects of the cropping cycle, which includes seeding, spraying, harvesting, and general farm maintenance, as well as participating in sheep husbandry duties as required. This position offers a collaborative work environment, closely supporting the owner and a small team during key periods such as seeding and harvest while incorporating the agronomist’s recommendations. It represents a hands-on role that provides autonomy and the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills, making it an excellent next step for career advancement.
