We are searching for an experienced Assistant Manager, someone who can assist across all aspects of the mixed farming enterprise, with the cropping program as their primary focus to work in a productive manner and support implementation of the business’s goals. Reporting to the farm manager, the successful candidate will have a genuine passion for all things Agriculture in a mixed farming operation.
This exciting opportunity for someone who can be observant and take ownership of their work, guide other staff, and look to the future for new opportunities within the business. The key areas that this role will focus on: Operation of all machinery associated with a dryland farming operation including, spraying, cultivation, sowing, spreading fertiliser, truck driving/grain handling, harvesting and fence line spraying; Manage all aspects of machinery maintenance, including implementation of machinery maintenance schedule; Property Maintenance, all repairs and maintenance to infrastructure; Animal Husbandry including shearing, pregnancy scanning, lambing, marking and weaning; General record keeping.
