There are only three days for primary producers to submit applications for a 2014 Nuffield scholarship.
The Nuffield organisation is offering a record 24 scholarships, each worth $30 thousand, to primary producers to travel the globe, researching world’s best practise in a topic of their choice.
The 16 week program includes a week-long Contemporary Scholars Conference attended by current scholars from around the world, 6 weeks of group travel through the global powerhouses of agriculture, including countries such as China, India, Brazil, Africa, Middle East, USA, Canada and through Europe and a national conference.
Scholars then focus on their personal study topic for a further 8-week travel period – recent research has focused on beef genetics, rangeland goat management, young farmer finance schemes and developing the Australian date palm industry.
Applications close on Sunday, June 30.
