With Brisbane’s annual Royal Show about to kick off tomorrow, readers are reminded that the annual Ekka charity steer will be auctioned during the led steer sale tomorrow afternoon.

For the fifth consecutive year this year, the charity steer auction proceeds will raise much needed funds for Multiple Sclerosis Queensland.

This year’s charity steer, a purebred Red Angus donated by the Will Family, Keynack Red Angus and Kelliie Smith and Stephan Hayward of K5X Angus.

This year’s steer has again been prepared by students of Downlands College, Toowoomba, and will be auctioned by Goetsch and Sons during the led steer sale in the main area on Wednesday August 6.

Last year’s MS Charity steer won the Taste Test award and placed in the carcase competition, after being purchased by The Breakfast Creek Hotel, with Woolworths as underbidders.

Click here for further information on the auction, or contact Marg Will on 0417 674 790.
