Gladstone set for Paddock to Plate Forum

Queensland cattle producers will have the opportunity to learn more about grassfed beef certification, international trade issues and innovations in beef production, processing and value-adding at an event in Gladstone this Saturday.

The AgForce Paddock to Plate Industry Forum to be held in the Vallis Theatre in the Martin Hanson Building will also include the AgForce Cattle annual general meeting.

The forum will feature sessions on:

  • Trends in grassfed consumption and opportunities PCAS presents – Teys Australia;
  • International barriers to trade impacting on CQ – Cattle Council of Australia;
  • Innovations in production, processing, value adding and Meat Science Australia – Meat & Livestock Australia.

The CEO of Gladstone Port Corporation Ltd has also been invited to speak on the future of agricultural exports from port.

The program will also include an “open mike session” of AgForce Cattle and the AgForce Cattle Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Entry is free and morning tea and lunch is provided. 

The Paddock to Plate Industry Forum and AgForce Cattle AGM will be held in the Vallis Theatre, Martin Hanson Building, Bryan Jordan Drive, Gladstone. Registration begins at 9:30am, and the program runs from 10am to 3pm. It will be followed by a beef ball – more details available on the website link below.
