A farm worker has died following an incident that occurred while moving cattle at a Yarrawonga South property.
It is understood the 65-year-old was helping load cattle into a truck about 11am last Tuesday when he was hit by a pen gate and fell backwards, hitting his head on the ground.
The worker later died in hospital.
WorkSafe Victoria has released a statement this morning to say it is investigating.
The death is the second workplace fatality of 2023, compared to 10 at the same time last year.
