Beef Central, 09/03/2016

CHINA’S explosive arrival as a major customer for Australian beef and live cattle exports will be the focus of a fascinating beef industry study tour visiting the ‘Sleeping Dragon’ during May.

The 12-day tour, with the option of a five-day extension at the end, will provide a deep immersion into the Chinese beef and livestock industry, its rich culture and heritage, and the colossal opportunity it presents for the Australian beef industry. Stakeholders considering joining the tour should make contact by close of business on Friday to avoid disappointment.

nab_china_study_tourThe tour will feature a carefully-constructed itinerary providing insight across the entire red meat supply chain – from prehistoric wet markets to gleaming western style supermarkets, feedlots to processing and value-adding facilities. Other forms of agriculture including dairy and aquaculture will also be scrutinised.

Along the way, tour participants will have ample time to see many of China’s best known tourist attractions, including the Great Wall, Tianmen Square, the Terracotta soldiers and other destinations.

Great looking itinerary. If it’s a study tour, what is the tax deductability status?
