Roma Agents yarded 5147 head.

All the regular processors feedlotters and backgrounders present and active however prices could not maintain recent levels.

Cattle were drawn from South Australia, the Warrego and local supply districts.

Light weight yearling steers under 200kg returning to the paddock sold to 448c and average 446c/kg.

Yearling steers 200 to 280kg topped at 496c with an average of 428c/kg. Yearling steers 280 to 330kg sold from 306c to 460c to average 408c/kg. Yearling steers 330 to 400kg returning to the paddock made to 460c and averaged 382c/kg. Yearling steers 400 to 480kg similar to last sale sold to 366c/kg and over 480kg made to 332c/kg to feed. Light weight yearling heifers under 200kg to restockers made to 302c and averaged 277c/kg. Yearling heifers 200 to 280kg to feed sold to 320c and 347c/kg to restockers.

Yearling heifers 280 to 330kg sold well to 318c/kg. Yearling heifers 330 to 400kg topped at 316c and averaged 286c/kg. Yearling heifers 400 to 480kg sold firm to make 324c/kg and the heifers over 480kg made to 302c/kg.

Grown steers 500 to 600kg sold from 252c to 313c with over 600kg selling to 318c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold to 296c/kg. Large numbers of 2 score cows 400 to 520kg made from 200c to 255c/kg. The 3 score cows over 520kg sold from 240c to 266c and averaged 257c/kg.

The best of the heavy weight bulls selling to 300c/kg.

Weaner steers under 200kg topped at 448c/kg and averaged 423c/kg, weaner steers in the 200-280kg range reached 496c/kg and averaged 368c/kg. Steers in the 280-330kg range reached 456c/kg and averaged 380c/kg, and steers in the 330-400kg range reached 452c/kg and averaged 358c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-500kg range topped at 390c/kg and averaged 336c/kg.

KC Chandler, Glentulloch, Injune sold Simmental cross steers to 468c/kg, reaching a top of $1,442 to average $1,231.  The Simmental cross Heifers sold to 312c/kg, reaching a top of $1,777 to average $788.

D & T Birch, Rosemount, Augathella sold Brangus cross steers to 456c/kg, reaching a top of $1,371 to average $1,307.

PA Campbell, Praire Vale, Augathella sold Santa Gertrudis cross to 452c/kg, reaching a top of $1,613 to average $1,456.

Farnham Grazing Co, Farnham Plains, Eulo sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 448c/kg, reaching a top of $2,076 to average $972.

Daniel Vetter, 27 Mile, Charleville sold Charolais cross steers to 440c/kg, reaching a top of $1,669 to average $1,290.

BJ & WR Taylor, Marjundale, Injune sold Charolais cross steers to 426c/kg, reaching a top of $1,342 to average $1,290.

PJ & BJ Andrews, Blue Hills, Roma sold Angus cross steers to 424c/kg, reaching a top of $1,258 to average $1,258.

Newton Grazing, Monavale, Gunnewin sold Charolais cross steers to 420c/kg, reaching a top of $1,148 to average $864.  The Charolais cross heifers sold to 278c/kg, reaching a top of $653 to average $604.

AF, GR & LA Seawright, Wyoming. Yuleba sold Hereford cross steers to 396c/kg, reaching a top of $1,037 to average $993. The Hereford cross heifers sold to 304c/kg, reaching a top of $793 to average $793.

Raceview Pastoral Co, Raceview, Charleville sold Santa Gertrudis cross steers to 390c/kg, reaching a top of $1,564 to average $1,418.

Neverfail Cattle Co Pty Ltd, Blackall sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 340c/kg, reaching a top of $2,206 to average $1,830.

Heifers under 200kg topped at 302c/kg and averaged 243c/kg, while heifers in the 200-280kg range topped at 312c/kg and averaged 264c/kg. Heifers in the 280-330kg range topped at 346c/kg, averaging 275c/kg. Heifers in the 330-400kg range topped at 310c/kg, averaging 280c/kg. Heifers in the 400-500kg range topped at 324c/kg, averaging 290c/kg.

WD & JE Purcell, Bridgeman Downs, Roma sold Angus heifers to 310c/kg, reaching a top of $1,088 to average $1,088.

Margret Munday, Muckadilla sold Limousin cross heifers to 324c/kg, reaching a top of $1,454 to average $1,266.

Ford Family Trading, Lewah, Roma sold Angus heifers to 310c/kg, reaching a top of $1,546 to average$1,151.

Cows in the 330-400kg range reached 240c/kg and averaged 213c/kg. Cows in the 400-500kg range topped at 265c/kg, averaging 250c/kg. Cows in the 500-600kg range topped at 266c/kg, averaging 255c/kg. Cows over 600kg topped at 266c/kg, averaging 257c/kg.

Camelot Grazing Co, Camelot, Yuleba sold Santa Gertrudis cross cows to 266c/kg, reaching a top of $1,647 to average $1,534.

JS & DR Nichols, Bendemeer, Winton sold Angus cross cows to 265c/kg, reaching a top of $1,583 to average $1,367.
