Yarding 3791 Change – 2154

On a wet and overcast day, cattle numbers fell to 3,791 at the Roma Store Sale, down from the previous week by 2,154 head, in part due to the rainfall across the supply area in recent days.

Cattle were drawn from a wide supply area, including good numbers from the Mt Isa region. Steers dominated the yarding, and the overall quality continued to be mixed.

There was a smaller but competitive buying panel present, including all regular processors, and buyers were operating to strong demand on the reduced yarding.

Prices remained strong for the yarding quality, with top end prices reduced, reflective of the quality yarded.
