NLRS market commentary:

Yarding 972 Change -2978

Yardings declined dramatically after rainfall across the region and continued short supply of cattle. Calves experienced good price gains and light weight yearling steers hit 414c to average between 362c and 380c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed sold to 322c, while those to restockers made to 356c and averaged 349c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed earned to 330c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers reached 351c and averaged between 325c and 332c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold to 338c and averaged 318c, up 14c/kg. The PTIC cows sold between 213c and 222c/kg. A few 3 score medium weight cows to restockers made to 230c, while those to processors earned to 226c and averaged 217c/kg.
