Beef Central, 28/01/2015

NLRS sale commentary:

Yarding 6900, change -1200

The majority of the light weight yearling steers went to paddocks in the local areas such as Roma, Taroom, Wandoan, Surat, and Chinchilla. All categories of steers continued to attract solid restocker and feedlot buyer competition, while the plainer heifers on offer resulted in light weight yearling heifers falling 7c on average. Cows and calves sold to $1060/unit.

Light weight yearling steers hit 295c and averaged 275c, up 7c, while slightly heavier sorts reached 276c and averaged 261c, down 3c/kg.
